The Centre is open to all no matter what their religion or faith is. It supports children and families in the wider community of Morogoro. We do not receive any grant, funding or aid from Government, so we are very happy to invite anyone who would like to volunteer, donate or sponsor. We really value our supporters who make it possible for us to continue our work caring for these children or their families.
In this part of the world it is still thought that when a child is born with a disbility either the mother or the child has been cursed by God. Many are abandoned, neglected or abused. The Amani Centre is a safe haven for these children and their families. Part of our work is to continue to raise awareness around these issues.
